An executive committee has been formed by representatives from the senior management to implement the environmental policy.

• The Environmental Project Team comprising staff representatives from different levels is responsible for implementing the devised measures.

• 17 Environmental Ambassadors, who have completed an environmental training conducted by the Environmental Protection Department, and 8 LEED Accredited Professionals are delegated the task to drive participation at the operational level.

• Environmental consideration is incorporated into all operational meetings, allowing all staff to participate in the process.

At the corporate level, Hang Lung is committed to driving environmental practices in the business community.

• We are a major patron of Climate Change Business Forum (CCBF), of which the prime goal is to communicate the potential risks and opportunities on environmental issues to the business community.

• We are a participant in "What’s Your Story", the first awareness raising campaign launched by CCBF, through which participants share with the public their best sustainability practices and industry-specific knowledge.

• We have signed the Copenhagen Communiqué, a global initiative aiming at reaching a credible deal at the "United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen" in December 2009.

• As one of the "Carbon Audit • Green Partners" under the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department's "Carbon Reduction Charter", we pledge to carry out activities to reduce greenhouse gases emissions.

• In March 2009, we joined the worldwide awareness campaign "Earth Hour 2009", in which a number of our investment properties supported the Company by turning off their lights to help fight climate change.

• We support the work of relevant organizations such as World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and Green Power through donations and sponsorships.
