Central Procurement Manager

  • Oversee all aspects of indirect procurement of related categories and ensure all purchasing requests are managed in a timely and efficient manner
  • The role will be managing major category like building maintenance, equipment, electrical tools and accessories, etc.
  • Work closely with senior business users on negotiating innovative and aggressive commercial terms
  • Actively support the roll-out of standard group systems, processes, best practices and reporting across the organization.
  • The role will have to work across a variety of categories so will need to demonstrate a broad range of category knowledge and responsible to develop and fine-tune a sourcing strategy for each category.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with senior key stakeholders as well as act as the point of contact for third party procurement, negotiations and strategies of related categories
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships with the aim of constantly improving of service quality and total cost ownership
  • Ensure the Company’s policies and procedures are followed
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Identify potential supply related risks with mitigation plan and contribute to procurement control framework
  • Ad-hoc purchases or initiatives as assigned

  • Degree holder in a related field as minimum, MBA/Post graduate degree as a plus (or relevant experience)
  • Certified Procurement professional such as CPSM or CIPS is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years’ indirect procurement experience with at least 3-5 years’ experience in E&M/Engineering and/or related category and leading role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience in managing large complex sourcing projects and change initiatives is an advantage
  • Proven experience in providing leadership to overcome challenges and lead without direct authority
  • Solid knowledge and proven experience in working with cross-functional teams to develop and execute complex, time and commercial sensitive strategies
  • People manager experience and proven ability to drive results and prioritize work activities.
  • Experience with various eProcurement tools will be advantageous
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua
  • Occasionally travel to the Mainland is required
