14 OTHER ASSETS
Notes:
(a) At December 31, 2012, the Group held investments in unlisted bonds which will mature from
September 2013 to December 2013. The effective yield of the bonds ranged from 1.6% to
2.9% (2011: 1.6% to 2.9%) per annum, payable quarterly or semi-annually.
(b) Intangible assets represent goodwill arising from the Group’s additions in equity interests in its
subsidiary, HLP, for transactions before July 1, 2009. At the end of the reporting period, an
impairment test was performed by comparing the goodwill with its recoverable amount and
no impairment was recorded.

(b) 無形資產為本集團於二零零九年七月一日之前於其附屬
公司恒隆地產之股本權益而產生之商譽。於年結時，本
集團曾比較商譽與可收回金額作為減值測試，並無錄得
減值。
