(Hong Kong, November 28, 2014) The Peak Galleria of Hang Lung Properties Limited is proud to introduce the worlds largest bear-shaped balloon sculpture. Standing an impressive 15 meters tall and made up of 100,000 colorful balloons, this bear-shaped balloon sculpture has achieved a new Guinness World Record for Hong Kong and can be found welcoming local and international visitors alike at the Peak Galleria throughout this festive season.

To celebrate this historic event, the opening ceremony of the “Guinness Bear @ The Peak Galleria” and the Guinness Record Certificate Presentation Ceremony was held today with Mr. Philip Chen, Managing Director of Hang Lung Properties; Mr. Norman Chan, Director ─ Leasing & Sales of Hang Lung Properties Limited; Mr. Anthony Lau, Executive Director of Hong Kong Tourism Board; and Mr. Jeff Wong, the designer of the Guinness Bear and senior management from Hang Lung Properties as the guests of honor. Visitors are invited to come along and witness the public acknowledgement of this world record teddy bear as he kicks off a series of fabulous teddy bear-themed activities at The Peak Galleria.

The Peak Galleria is introducing a series of teddy bear-related programs from today to January 4, 2015, the first and foremost of which involves a collaboration with Steiff, the world’s classic teddy bear brand for over 130 years. The Peak Galleria is pleased to cooperate with this premium German teddy bear manufacturer to host the “The History of Steiff” exhibition at L1 Atrium. This exhibition shows the historic development of the teddy bear, how he was made, and how he got his name. Visitors can also view nine exclusive limited edition teddy bears that have captured the heart of collectors the world over, including the Karl Lagerfeld Teddy featuring the designer’s signature sunglasses and designer suit, the Qianlong Emperor Teddy in his dragon robes, the Ralph Lauren Ranch Teddy, and the Tiger Teddy set.
