Hang Lung Group Limited and Hang Lung Properties Limited today jointly announced that Mr. LO Wai Pak, Weber, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Group, will retire from his role by August 31, 2026.
The Boards are undergoing a comprehensive search to identify a successor to Mr. Lo, who will support and facilitate a smooth transition of leadership.
Mr. Adriel Chan, Chair of Hang Lung, said, “The Boards would like to express their deep gratitude to Weber for his leadership and unwavering dedication to the Group with vision, integrity and a commitment to excellence. I have truly cherished our strong partnership and cooperation throughout his tenure. Weber steered the Group through significant challenges, all while strengthening our foundations, and launching our V.3 strategy, which will be an engine for growth for decades to come. I also look forward to Weber's continued advisory support after his retirement, in an official capacity to be confirmed in due course. Meanwhile, I have every confidence that our team will maintain its strong forward momentum, and that we will continue from strength to strength.”
Mr. Lo said, “It has always been my plan to retire before the official retirement age, in order to explore a new chapter in life. The past eight years at Hang Lung have been the golden period of my career, during which we have strengthened our ‘66’ brand and executed strategic initiatives such as the significant luxury trade expansions in multiple cities. We also enhanced our customer centricity with our holistic customer relationship program, and we built a strong team that embraces our vision, mission, and values. I can’t wait to celebrate with the team the opening of Westlake 66 in Hangzhou in April 2026 as we mark Hang Lung's 66th anniversary. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Boards, the Group’s Honorary Chair, Ronnie C. Chan and Chair, Adriel Chan for their trust and support. With the right leadership team and strategy in place, Hang Lung is well prepared for its next chapter.”
Further updates will be made in due course.
