Hospitality Steeped in Heritage
Xi Zhe Wuxi, Curio Collection by Hilton is where Center 66’s newest chapter comes to life.
Blending contemporary architecture with the historic former home of Zhang Xiaocheng, the hotel creates a dialogue between past and present. Jiangnan influences—from Zouma Lou, lanterns and Yixing clay to bamboo—are subtly woven throughout the design.
Inspired by the story of Zhang and his sister establishing a medical clinic, the hotel's reception area offers a modern reinterpretation of the traditional Chinese apothecary cabinet (Bai Zi Gui). It pays tribute to a legacy of healing and thoughtful craftsmanship, reflecting the values of care and attention that are found throughout the guest experience.
"We are proud to partner with Hang Lung to bring the Curio Collection by Hilton to Wuxi, marking another step in Hilton's continued growth in China. True to the brand's distinctive 'One Hotel, One Story' philosophy, the hotel reflects Wuxi's history, culture and culinary heritage, offering guests a refreshing destination experience. This opening would not have been possible without the strong support and trust of the ownership team. We look forward to building a long-term partnership with Hang Lung and to offering guests across China a broader and more diverse range of stay experiences," commented Mr. Qian Jin, President, Greater China and Mongolia, Hilton.
With every element now in place, Center 66 has become a destination designed around the way people live today, bringing together shopping, working, living, and leisure. As Wuxi continues to evolve, Center 66 will remain an integral part of the city’s ongoing story.
