Changemakers Program with Tenants Builds Momentum

News | May 8, 2025

Hang Lung is scaling up our collaborative efforts with tenants to reduce energy use and waste, advance circularity, and improve community wellbeing through our Changemakers Program. By fostering strong partnerships, we are driving an industry shift towards shared responsibility and deeper engagement in sustainability.

To date, Hang Lung has collaborated with 49 tenants from various sectors across 17 properties in Hong Kong and mainland China, totaling over 220,500 sq. m. of leased floor area or 11% of Hang Lung’s leasable floor area. Participating tenants receive benchmarking information, technical advice, and can join a comprehensive energy and carbon management platform.

We recently held Tenant Sustainability Awards in Hong Kong and Shanghai to recognize tenants and invite them to share their innovative practices with others. Special thanks to Christine Loh and Brian Linden for their keynote remarks.

Adriel Chan, Chair of Hang Lung and Chair of the Sustainability Steering Committee said, “Underpinning all our sustainability efforts is a belief in the power of collective action. Our tenants are essential partners in both business and sustainability, and Hang Lung is proud to join forces with them in pursuit of meaningful impacts for the environment and society.”
