On June 3, our Honorary Chair, Mr. Ronnie C. Chan, Chair, Mr. Adriel Chan, and CEO, Mr. Weber Lo met with Mr. Chen Jining, Party Secretary of Shanghai, to explore deeper collaboration and reinforce our commitment to the city’s continued progress and urban transformation.
Secretary Chen outlined Shanghai’s goal to solidify its position as an international hub for economy, finance, trade, shipping, and technological innovation. He welcomed Hang Lung’s continued investment and encouraged us to accelerate efforts in urban renewal, commercial asset upgrades, and retail innovation — bringing more first-to-market stores, launches, and showcases to the city.
Mr. Ronnie C. Chan reiterated our confidence in Shanghai’s world-class business landscape and long-term potential. As a longstanding partner in the city’s growth, Hang Lung’s landmark projects — Plaza 66 and Grand Gateway 66 — have set new standards in commercial real estate. We remain committed to expanding our presence and unlocking new opportunities in this thriving metropolis.
As we celebrate our 65th anniversary, we are proud to contribute to Shanghai’s transformation into an international consumption center, and look forward to achieving more milestones together.
Our Senior Director — Mainland Business Operation, Mr. Derek Pang, Director — Mainland Business Operation, Ms. Janice Cheung, and Director — Development & Projects, Mr. Moses Leung also attended this meeting.
