Hang Lung Changemakers: Driving Change in our Tenant Community

News | Sep 10, 2025

At Hang Lung, our Changemakers Program brings tenants together to turn their sustainability commitments into real action. A recent waste management workshop revealed how collaboration across sectors can unlock new possibilities and inspire creativity.

Tam Jai International Co. Limited, one of our passionate Changemakers tenants, is pushing the boundaries of food-waste upcycling. In partnership with the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association, the workshop combined circular economy practices with mental wellbeing, showing that sustainable solutions can also nurture community health.

Participants transformed surplus pork belly from Tam Jai’s kitchen into fragrant candles, while mindful eating exercises encouraged appreciation and presence—highlighting that sustainability is about more than just materials; it’s about mindset and connection.

This experience reflects our belief that sustainability thrives when ideas and efforts flow openly between Hang Lung, tenants, and community partners. Together, we create real value that goes beyond business, making a lasting difference for our properties and beyond.
