At the heart of Hang Lung is a genuine care for the community, particularly amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation, which we are monitoring closely. Following the announcement of a HK$ 10 million endowments for the “Hang Lung COVID-19 Relief Fund 2.0” in support of pandemic countermeasures in Hong Kong, a further RMB 3 million has been injected into the fund in support of mitigation measures on the Mainland, including the provision of health protection items and other daily necessities for Mainland cities most affected by COVID-19. Concrete relief measures include a donation of RMB 2 million to the Shanghai Charity Foundation, and targeted support to contain the spread of the virus in the Jing’an and Xuhui Districts.

Caring for Physical and Mental Wellbeing

Given the recent suspension of physical classes on the Mainland, children are confined at home. Several projects along with tenants have come together to host online painting classes for children of frontline pandemic workers. With the physical and mental wellbeing of their children taken good care of, it is hoped that frontliners can continue their valiant work without worries.

Expressing Gratitude to Frontline Workers

The Hang Lung As One Volunteer Teams also demonstrated our corporate spirit of caring for the community by providing their unwavering support through ground-level community action. These sincere initiatives included the distribution of health protection items to medical personnel and community workers, and free refreshments and hot beverages to pandemic frontliners, in gestures of warm care and profound respect.
