The CEO Award of Hang Lung Properties, established in 2018, recognizes outstanding internal projects that drive excellence with embodiment of our vision, mission, and values. This year, after a rigorous exercise, the Award Selection Committee and our staff voted for “A Sustainable Workplace - Hang Lung Office Rejuvenation” as the winner.
This transformative project has reimagined our total 94,550 sq. ft. workspace at our two main offices in Hong Kong, Central's Standard Chartered Bank Building and Mongkok's Gala Place based on four main principles: "One Team One Location", "Foster Collaboration”, "Care about People", and "Sustainability”. The result was an innovative smart workspace facilitating better collaboration, enhancing productivity, and creating a healthier working environment. The initiative increased areas dedicated to collaboration and wellness by 20%, while recycling 4,439 pieces of furniture and avoiding carbon emissions equivalent to 3,606 flights from Hong Kong to Singapore, just to name a few.
Colleagues enjoyed the fresh vibes of the rejuvenated workspace. The transformation featured state-of-the-art design and technology, including the work cafés, wellness rooms, adjustable work desks, and more. These enhancements met the needs of our colleagues, ensuring a comfortable and interactive working environment.
Our CEO Weber Lo said, “The Office Rejuvenation initiative reinforces our vision of creating compelling spaces that enrich lives. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Project Taskforce for their hard work and dedication throughout the 1,080 days of this project. This cross-departmental collaboration has demonstrated the spirit of teamwork and unity across the Company. I invite everyone to take pride in our new environment.”
Congratulations to the winners! Keep up the great work — we look forward to achieving even higher standards next year!
